Irwin Mitchell Solicitors have recently been successful in pursuing a group illness action against the Tour Operator First Choice for holidaymakers who travelled to the Royal Park Hotel in Torremolinos.
Irwin Mitchell acted for a total of 35 holidaymakers who fell ill while staying at the Royal Park Hotel, Torremolinos, Spain. They had all booked their holidays with First Choice Holidays and Flights Limited.
Some of the holidaymakers were diagnosed with salmonella food poisoning and needed medical treatment at the resort. The clients said that the hotel standards were awful. Food was served undercooked or off and staff were unfriendly. Many of the holidaymakers had young children and conditions were so bad that they feared for their health and safety.
Irwin Mitchell negotiated with First Choice and a settlement of over £40,000 in damages was reached for the group of holidaymakers.
