Successful claim after client falls at Portuguese apartments

We successfully recovered compensation for our client who was injured when she fell into a large hole outside the holiday apartment she was staying at in Portugal.

Our client was on a family holiday and was walking on the grassy area in front of her apartment. However, unknown to her, there was a large hole in the ground which she fell into. The apartment owners had known about the hole but had let it become hidden by the long grass.

Our client tore the ligaments and tendon of her ankle and she had to go to the local hospital for treatment. She was unable to walk for several weeks and the family holiday was completely ruined.

At first the apartment owners refused to accept any blame for the fall. However, following our intervention and the threat of court action, they agreed to pay our client full compensation for her injuries and also for her ruined holiday and a settlement was successfully negotiated.
