£36,500 for driver in an RTA in Italy
Mr & Mrs Dadral were on holiday in Italy in August 1999 when their hire car, being driven by Mr Dadral, was struck from behind by a lorry. They both sustained multiple injuries, Mrs Dadral sustained injuries to her neck, back and hip which continued to cause her discomfort, Mr Dadral sustaining a whiplash injury to his neck.
Irwin Mitchell Solicitors, assisted by Italian lawyers were instructed to pursue the lorry drivers insurers for damages. The claim was negotiated to a successful conclusion after a series of meetings with the insurer. Mr Dadral recovered £8,700 and Mrs Dadral recovered £36,500 in respect of their injuries, out of pocket expenses and lost earnings.
