Serious pedestrian injury in Holland

Our client suffered serious injuries following an accident in Holland. In December 2000 he was working in Holland, he travelled home from work by bus as he got off the bus he was hit by a car, sustaining serious injuries.

He fractured his left ankle, right femur and pelvis and suffered a very serious brain injury leaving him in a permanent vegetative state and permanently confined to a wheelchair. He is unable to communicate or do anything for himself and requires round the clock care and assistance.

Liability was admitted in full and following discussions with the Defendants insurers an agreement was reached which meant the Claimant was awarded £1,070,000 in respect of damages in this extremely complex claim.

Client comment:

I am really grateful for all the time and effort everyone at Irwin Mitchell as put in to achieve such a good result in what has been a very complex case. It will make a real difference to our lives.
