€3,000 recovered following ski accident in France
We were successful in a claim brought in France for a client who fractured his knee as a result of a ski accident.
Our client was skiing down a green run when a third party client, clearly out of control, grabbed hold of him and pulled him to the ground.
Compensation Claim for Skiing Accident
He ruptured his anterior ligament and sustained injury to his lateral collateral ligament and post lateral corner in his right leg. He had reconstructive surgery on his right knee. He was signed off work for two weeks and he was on crutches for six to eight weeks in total and the total rehabilitation lasted for nine months. The surgery on the right leg has resulted in two scars on his right knee.
As a result of his injuries, the client had to stopthe practice of rugby and football, what caused him a great deal of frustration.
We managed to gather evidence in support of his claim for loss of enjoyment of sports, which usually does not attract a high level of compensation, and obtained compensation in the region of € 3,000.
We brought a claim on behalf of our client against the skiier and his insurers in France. The settlement was negotiated out of court.

Absolutely brilliant. I am sure that there must be thousands of people who do not know that Irwin Mitchell provide this service and I would recommend this firm to anyone.
