Honeymoon ruined by health and hygiene standards at Sandals Grand Antigua
Two holidaymakers celebrating their honeymoon at this 5* resort have approached Irwin Mitchell’s leading travel litigation team reporting poor food quality at the hotel which they believe may have resulted in a breakdown of health and hygiene conditions. In particular, meat and eggs were often served cold or undercooked and food was left uncovered and open for birds to peck at.
The couple found that the appliances in their room were not sufficiently cleaned and that once they fell ill their bathroom was not cleaned at all. The couple also found hotel staff to be unhelpful when they tried to report any complaints and that the holiday tour representative seemed oblivious to their complaints.
The honeymooners were forced to book return flights back to the UK earlier than their intended departure date after they fell ill as they could not face staying at the resort for any longer than they had to.
