WHAT THE EXPERTS SAY
"The team has so many contacts with foreign insurers and so many people with foreign languages that it is miles ahead of others."

Verandah Resort & Spa, Antigua
Irwin Mitchell’s leading travel litigation team have been instructed to act for holidaymakers who travelled to the Verandah Resort & Spa in Antigua at the end of April 2012 who have returned from their holidays complaining of severe gastric illness. We have been told by our clients that there were many others who also suffered with similar gastric symptoms.
It is alarming to note that holidaymakers have contracted serious bacterial infections such as Salmonella as a result of a breakdown in food hygiene procedures at this hotel, when it is advertised in the brochures as a four star property.
Our clients tell us that the hotel was not worth the four stars it was given, as the food was left uncovered for prolonged periods of time in the buffet restaurants and pest control was also said to be a real problem, with birds being seen in the restaurant on numerous occasions.
Holidaymakers have told us that they fell ill with gastric symptoms including diarrhoea with blood in their stools, vomiting as well as abdominal pain, headaches, and fever. Comments on consumer websites such as Trip Advisor confirm that illness is not just limited to our clients.
If you have also travelled to this hotel and subsequently suffered from symptoms of gastric illness or sustained an injury, Irwin Mitchell, who specialise in dealing with cases of such nature, would like to hear from you.
