Chaika Hotel, Bulgaria

Irwin Mitchell is concerned for a family who fell ill during a stay at the Chaika Hotel in Bulgaria in August 2015.

The holidaymakers told us that they fell ill with symptoms of diarrhoea, stomach cramps, sickness and lethargy at the hotel. After they fell ill they had to buy some medication from a pharmacy to help with their symptoms. All three of their family fell ill similar symptoms.

They couldn't enjoy the holiday as they weren't able to do much once they fell ill.

Despite a number of positive reviews, the holidaymakers report that on occasions some of the meat dishes didn't look like they were cooked enough and sometimes food that should have been hot only tasted lukewarm.

Upon return home the tourists say were all still ill. They visited their doctor who said to keep hydrated and rest, but one of the holidaymakers is continuing to suffer symptoms.
