Diamond Hotel, Sunny Beach

Irwin Mitchell has received reports of gastric illness amongst holidaymakers who travelled to the Diamond Hotel, Sunny Beach Resort, in Bulgaria during June 2010.

It is reported that holidaymakers became ill possibly due to the poor food hygiene standards and poor quality food served at the hotel. It is reported that food was re-heated and re-presented as dishes from the previous evening were served up for breakfast. The food was very repetitive and on one occasion, maggots were discovered in the fruit served at the hotel. A number of quality issues have also been alleged.
