Hotel Kuban, Sunny Beach, 2017

The International Personal Injury Team at Irwin Mitchell are concerned by recent reports of guests falling ill with gastric symptoms during holidays taken at Hotel Kuban in Sunny Beach, Bulgaria in July 2017.

A family of 9, two of whom were celebrating birthdays, became ill while staying at the resort with symptoms which included nausea and headaches followed by diarrhoea and vomiting. The holidaymakers sought medical attention after arriving back in the UK.

Despite some positive reviews of the hotel online, Irwin Mitchell have seen reports of holidaymakers falling ill during their stay. Some holidaymakers have complained about the quality of the food - they mention fruit being left out and starting to rot and raw meat being served at least once.

Gastric symptoms can range from mild diarrhoea to abdominal cramps and blood in the stools. Having significant experience in assisting those unfortunate enough to contract gastric illness we know first-hand the potential long term effects that can be associated with such illness, with sometimes permanent long term complications arising such as Post infective Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS).

If you have also travelled to Hotel Kuban in Sunny Beach, Bulgaria and subsequently fallen ill, Irwin Mitchell, who specialise in dealing with cases of such nature, would like to hear from you.
