Royal Bay Hotel, Elenite
Irwin Mitchell has been instructed by holidaymakers who stayed at the Royal Bay Hotel, Elenite, Bulgaria between July and August 2009, having booked their holidays with Thomas Cook.
Our clients suffered symptoms of gastric illness, including diarrhoea, sickness and stomach cramps, which may have been caused by a breakdown in hygiene standards at the hotel.
The guests report that they were served chicken which was so undercooked it was still pink in the middle, food on the buffet was left uncovered and so insects such as flies landed on the food, the food appeared to be reheated and served on more than one occasion. Furthermore one client had to take seven weeks off from work in order to recover from his illness.
The Tour Operator is currently carrying out investigations into our client's claims. We are encouraging the Defendant to enter into early negotiations in order that a settlement can be reached on behalf of the client as soon as possible.
