Sunny Day Hotel And Apartments, 2015
Lawyers from Irwin Mitchell are concerned to hear reports that guests became ill with Legionnaires’ disease after staying at the Sunny Day Hotel and Apartments, in Bulgaria, during August 2015.
One holidaymaker has expressed they fell ill with flu like symptoms and shortness of breath while at the resort. They had to visit the local medical centre due to their illness and were then referred to a Bulgarian hospital. Following this admission, a return flight to the UK was organised via air ambulance.
When back in the UK the British holidaymaker had to stay in hospital for five weeks and was diagnosed with Legionnaires’ disease. The guest hasn’t yet made a full recovery and continues to experience weakness and shortness of breath.
Furthermore, guests have previously raised concerns about an outbreak of Legionnaires’ in September 2015 and they stated that they were moved to alternative accommodation.
Irwin Mitchell specialises in helping victims of illness outbreaks in the UK and abroad to gain justice. The team has successfully represented victims who have fallen ill in such outbreaks and has recovered compensation for tens of thousands of illness victims in the UK and abroad.
If you also travelled to the Sunny Day Hotel and Apartments and have subsequently suffered from symptoms of Legionnaires’ disease, we would like to hear from you.

"We were very happy with the outcome of our case, especially as we were initially offered nothing from the Tour Operator. Irwin Mitchell were very professional throughout and we are very happy with the outcome."
