Irwin Mitchell has been contacted by numerous people who stayed at the Arena Hotel, Canada between the months of March and April 2011. Clients have reported suffering from gastric illnesses including symptoms of diarrhoea, stomach cramps and vomiting. One client has confirmed that his diarrhoea was so severe that he was forced to go to the toilet more than 10 times a day.
On returning to the U.K one of the clients had a stool sample taken and was diagnosed with food poisoning and campylobacter.
Clients have said that on many occasions the food at the hotel seemed as if it had been reheated. We have also been told that people who were staying at this hotel were forced to eat their meals in their rooms because of their ill health.
