We’re concerned to learn about recent incidents at the Hotel Oasis Salinas Sea in Cape Verde, where guests have fallen ill with gastric symptoms while on holiday there in January and February 2016.
Despite positive reviews, we’ve heard about some tourists becoming ill during their stay. One person was worried to see that “some of the food was not covered” and also claims they didn’t see any staff member “do any sort of temperature check on the food”. Another guest wrote that some of the food was “barely warm, never hot”. Other holidaymakers report falling ill with gastric symptoms.
Gastric symptoms can range from mild diarrhoea to abdominal cramps and blood in stools. We have significant experience helping those unlucky enough to contract gastric illness while on holiday.
