Melia Tortuga Beach Resort & Spa, Cape Verde
The International Personal Injury Team at Irwin Mitchell are concerned by recent reports of guests falling ill with gastric symptoms during holidays taken at the Melia Tortuga Beach Resort & Spa in Cape Verde between August and October 2016.
Despite positive reviews, Irwin Mitchell have learnt of holidaymakers falling ill during a stay at the hotel. One holidaymaker claims that some of food “looked like it had been represented from the previous meal” whilst another claims that “there was no hot running water to be found in any of the communal facilities” that they visited. A number of holidaymakers report falling ill with gastric symptoms.
Gastric symptoms can range from mild diarrhoea to abdominal cramps and blood in stools. Having significant experience in assisting those unfortunate enough to contract gastric illness Irwin Mitchell know first-hand the potential long term effects that can be associated with such illness, with sometimes permanent long term complications arising such as Post infective Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS).
If you have also travelled to the Melia Tortuga Beach Resort & Spa in Cape Verde and subsequently suffered from symptoms of illness, Irwin Mitchell, who specialise in dealing with cases of such nature, would like to hear from you.

"We were very happy with the outcome of our case, especially as we were initially offered nothing from the Tour Operator. Irwin Mitchell were very professional throughout and we are very happy with the outcome."
