Irwin Mitchell is concerned to read reports of suspected food poisoning amongst guests staying at the Occidental Grand Cartagena Hotel, Cartagena, Colombia during January 2012.  

One holiday report explains how there are two restaurants at the hotel, one buffet and one A La Carte, and it is reported that the A La Carte restaurant serves the same food as that in the buffet restaurant, which suggests that the food may be being reheated and re-presented to holidaymakers. It may be that a breakdown in food handling and hygiene procedures have caused holidaymakers to fall ill with symptoms of suspected food poisoning.  

Holidaymakers have also complained that the local beach is dirty and that they were bitten by small insects causing them to be itchy and uncomfortable.
