Anthem Of The Seas
Specialist travel lawyers from Irwin Mitchell have been contacted by passengers who suffered gastrointestinal illness following their voyage onboard the Anthem of the Seas cruise ship. The vessel was travelling to the Caribbean during February 2016.
The guests’ symptoms included diarrhoea, vomiting, abdominal pains, loss of appetite and lethargy. The passengers have also described that they were aware of many others who suffered with the illness, including a baby.
Holidaymakers have complained that staff from the medical centre wouldn’t see passengers in their cabins despite them being ill.
It has also been expressed that cabins weren’t sanitised despite passengers being ill. Furthermore guests have reported that seafood which was served appeared to be lukewarm, and other food appeared to be recycled from previous meals.
This ship recently hit the headlines after being forced to abandon voyages due to illness and severe storms.
If you’ve also travelled on the Anthem of the Seas cruise ship, and subsequently suffered from symptoms of illness, we would like to hear from you.
