Norovirus On Board The Majesty Of The Seas Cruise

Irwin Mitchell’s leading International Travel Litigation Group is concerned to have learnt of a suspected norovirus outbreak on board the Majesty of the Seas Cruise.

The ship was on a cruise around various ports of call in mid-January 2014, when it was reported that 66 passengers and two crew members were struck down with symptoms of gastroenteritis.

It has returned to a port in Miami whilst extensive cleaning takes place. The ship was scheduled to depart at 4pm on Friday 16 January 2014 but was delayed by an hour as the extensive cleaning took place.

Norovirus can cause amongst other things; watery diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, high temperature, headaches and aching limbs. Children and the elderly are particularly at risk.

If you have also suffered from symptoms relating to norovirus or fallen ill whilst on holiday, Irwin Mitchell would like to hear from you as you may be able to claim the pain and suffering caused by your illness.

For more advice on making a holiday illness claim, contact Irwin Mitchell on 0800 056 0066 or complete our enquiry form and we will call you back.
