Star Princess Cruise - 2012

Irwin Mitchell has received reports of problems on board the Star Princess Cruise. Reports confirm that 74 holiday makers and crew members have contracted Norovirus and dozens have suffered diarrhoea and vomiting on board the vessel in January 2012.

The Falkland Islands authorities are allegedly turning away the Princess Cruises liner hit by an outbreak of gastric illness. Angry tourists on the Star Princess say they were forced to cancel shore excursions when officials in the disputed British territory off Argentina refused them entry on Saturday, saying an outbreak on land could strain its medical resources. Falkland authorities have defended their decision as being "in the wider interests of the public and tourism industry".

Irwin Mitchell is eager to hear from anyone who has contracted illness or sustained an injury during their holiday on board this vessel. If you have been affected by the Norovirus outbreak following a stay on the Star Princess Cruise, you may be able to pursue a claim for your ruined holiday and also the pain and suffering caused by the illness or injury.

Irwin Mitchell, who specialise in dealing with cases of such nature, would like to hear from you if you have suffered from gastric illness or sustained an injury whilst staying on the Star Princess Cruise.

"We were very happy with the outcome of our case, especially as we were initially offered nothing from the Tour Operator. Irwin Mitchell were very professional throughout and we are very happy with the outcome."
