Specialist international personal injury lawyers at Irwin Mitchell, who have acted for thousands of holidaymakers and passengers who have suffered illness at hotels and on cruise ships, have been instructed by a couple following their experience on the Ryndam Cruise in June 2015.
The retired couple travelled on board the Ryndam Cruise to celebrate a 70th birthday. However, during the voyage, both passengers started suffering from diarrhoea and sickness. One of them received medical treatment from the doctor on board the ship and was advised to remain in his cabin for 36 hours. As a result, both passengers missed the most scenic parts of the cruise.
The passengers have reported that the food served in the restaurant on board the ship was “terrible” and was sometimes not warm enough.
Jatinder Paul, a solicitor at Irwin Mitchell, said: “This milestone birthday celebration was completely ruined due to illness and they will now remember this special holiday for all of the wrong reasons.”
