Thomson Dream Cruise 2011
Lawyers are concerned to learn of a further outbreak of illness onboard a Thomson Dream Cruise after being contacted by holidaymakers who have returned home following suffering illness on board the ship from April 2011 to December 2011. Irwin Mitchell is currently acting for 20 holiday makers who suffered from a gastric illness on board the Thomson Dream Cruise.
Holidaymakers aboard this cruise ship have contracted symptoms of diarrhoea, sickness, severe abdominal cramps and pain. These symptoms are still being experienced by holidaymakers to date and have affected their quality of life upon return to the UK.
This recent outbreak of illness follows complaints earlier this year in relation to illness suffered onboard the Thomson Dream Cruise and hundreds of complaints received about the Thomson Dream last summer, where over 400 holidaymakers called on Irwin Mitchell for assistance after their nightmare experience cruising around the Mediterranean.
Thomson quote on their website that the Thomson Dream is "Thomson's biggest, most luxurious to date, is set to become the new flagship of the fleet". This idea of luxury is not shared by many passengers who suffered on the cruise.
Holidaymakers have described how there was a disgusting smell from the public toilets and an attempt was made to cover up the smell with detergent but this failed and the smell continued. Complaints were made to the members of the crew on several occasions who responded by stating that this was not a problem.
Irwin Mitchell are further advised that the self service buffet was stopped and that crew members began serving food. Holiday makers have advised that once they had become ill, they became afraid to eat the food on board the ship and therefore purchased food upon leaving the ship.
To make matters worse passengers were asked to disembark the ship at an earlier time than scheduled due to complications onboard the ship.
If you also travelled on board this cruise and suffered from gastric illness, Irwin Mitchell would like to hear from you as you may be able to claim for your ruined holiday, and also, the pain and suffering caused by the illness that you sustained.

"We were very happy with the outcome of our case, especially as we were initially offered nothing from the Tour Operator. Irwin Mitchell were very professional throughout and we are very happy with the outcome."
