Thomson Dream Cruises – Chemical Leak 2011
Solicitors at law firm Irwin Mitchell have been contacted by holidaymakers who travelled on the Thomson Dream cruise in 2011 after falling ill following a chemical leak on board the cruise.
Passengers on board the cruise confirmed that they woke up feeling sick with headaches; severe chest pains and breathing problems. Passengers complained that there was a strong smell of chemicals on board the cruise liner.
Passengers were finally evacuated from one side of the vessel where the leak had occurred. They were not told why they were being evacuated or given details of what to do. The passengers said they felt like they had been left stranded for two hours and raised concerns over the way the situation was handled. When passengers eventually returned to their original rooms, they complained that they could still smell the fumes on board.
We are already investigating claims for guests who suffered illness or loss of enjoyment on board this cruise in 2011 and we are concerned to learn that there are further reports of problems on board this vessel.
We look forward to investigating this case and urge victims of illness or injury whilst on this cruise to contact us as you may be able to claim compensation for your ruined holiday.
