Thomson Majesty Cruise, 2013
Irwin Mitchell have received reports from holidaymakers who became ill with diarrhoea and vomiting whilst on a cruise on the Thomson Majesty around the Canary Islands in 2013.
The holiday, which had been booked for the family of five, should have been the perfect opportunity to celebrate one young couple’s engagement after a romantic proposal on board the cruise. Instead of celebrating, the groom to be had to retire to bed early after proposing to his fiancé because he had started to feel ill.
At least two holidaymakers had to seek treatment from the doctor on board the vessel and one was prescribed medication and confined to her cabin along with her husband.
Despite some positive reviews, some holidaymakers have described that some of the food that was served on the evening and breakfast buffet as being uncovered and not very warm. Other passengers on board the cruise were also reported to have been affected by illness and suffering similar symptoms of diarrhoea and vomiting.
If you also travelled on board this cruise ship and have subsequently suffered from symptoms of gastric illness, Irwin Mitchell, who specialise in dealing with cases of such nature, would like to hear from you.
