Irwin Mitchell is investigating P&O’s Adonia cruise following outbreaks of pneumonia and gastric illness in January 2015.

Despite some positive reviews, we have received negative reports regarding the hygiene standards on board the ship. Furthermore, passengers have been left disappointed after low levels of care from the crew.

Passengers have reported a number of problems on board including a lack of hand sanitizer dispensers at restaurant entrances and poor food standards. We have also heard that the cabin of an ill guest was not fumigated or deep cleaned before the arrival of the next set of passengers. One guest claims that they were left to find their own way to hospital after their illness worsened.

Reports have described the ship as dusty with a distinct lack of attention given to cleanliness. On occasion, spillages at restaurants were not cleaned up for hours and waiters wore mucky gloves with holes in. There have also been further reports of illness on board the ship.
