Queen Mary II, May 2014
Irwin Mitchell has been instructed to act on behalf of couple following their trip on board the Queen Mary II, which returned to the UK on 9 May 2014.
The couple were looking forward to visiting a number of the stops that the cruise made. However, during the World Tour one of the couple fell ill developing gastric symptoms to include watery diarrhoea which contained blood and vomiting.
As a result of her illness it was necessary for her to visit the on-board doctor who prescribed her some Imodium. She was also confined to her cabin for two days due to the severity of her symptoms. Unfortunately, her symptoms did not cease upon return home and therefore upon return home she had to visit her doctor. She advises that she has been informed by her doctor that she has contracted salmonella.
Despite a number of positive reviews the couple report that on occasions eggs on board the ship were served undercooked and watery.
Irwin Mitchell currently act for two clients following their cruise on board the ship in 2013 who both fell ill during their cruise suffering from symptoms of diarrhoea and vomiting.
If you have suffered from gastric illness following your stay on board the Queen Mary II, Irwin Mitchell would like to hear from you as you may be able to claim for your illness.

"We were very happy with the outcome of our case, especially as we were initially offered nothing from the Tour Operator. Irwin Mitchell were very professional throughout and we are very happy with the outcome."
