Irwin Mitchell have been instructed by a passenger returning from a cruise in the Mediterranean on board the Thomson Dream Cruise ship, who has fallen ill during his stay on board the cruise ship between April and May 2013.
The passenger reports suffering from symptoms of diarrhoea, vomiting and stomach cramps and reports how he has continued to remain symptomatic after disembarkation. The passenger contacted his gp for medical advice in relation to his ongoing symptoms upon return home.
The passenger has advised how he saw signs that other passengers were also ill and on speaking to other passengers realised that there were others suffering from similar symptoms to his own. The passenger advises that there was a smell of sick on the cruise ship.
Irwin Mitchell are currently acting for over 200 passengers who stayed on the Thomson Dream Cruise in 2010, a number of whom paid more than £1,000 each for their holiday and who have described how they were confined to their cabins just days into their cruises after succumbing to an illness outbreak in 2010. Furthermore, the cruise ship was also reported on BBC’s Watchdog programme in respect of the serious health and safety failings on the ship.
