The International Personal Injury team at Irwin Mitchell is acting for a passenger who became ill with gastric symptoms whilst on board the Viking Eistla Cruise this year.
Despite some positive reviews, the passenger has reported that there was no warning of the outbreak of illness on board the cruise and they felt that more preventative measures, such as use of hand gel, should have been put into place.
Other guests on the Viking Eistla reported that the crew were already sick from the previous cruise and mingled with passengers despite this. It has also been suggested that there were only three hand sanitisers on the ship, with none in the lounge or buffet areas. It is reported that a number of passengers and crew fell ill with gastric symptoms.
