Grand Memories Santa Maria, 2017

Irwin Mitchell’s specialist International Personal Injury team is concerned by reports of guests falling ill at the Grand Memories Santa Maria, Cuba in February and March 2017.

Holidaymakers have suffered from symptoms of gastric illness during their holiday at the Grand Memories Santa Maria. They reported concerns over hygiene standards, especially a lack of water at the resort and overflowing sewage leaks around the resort. The tourists reported unsanitary toilet conditions and were worried about how dishes could be cleaned properly since there was no running water. Guests further noted that food was often served at the wrong temperature, as well as being left out for long periods of time. The holidaymakers reported suffering symptoms including vomiting and diarrhoea.

Gastric symptoms can range from mild diarrhoea to abdominal cramps and blood in stools. We have significant experience helping those unfortunate enough to contract gastric illness, and our specialist International Personal Injury lawyers know the potential long term effects it can cause, such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).

If you also travelled to the Grand Memories Santa Maria, Cuba and subsequently suffered symptoms of gastric illness or sustained an injury, Irwin Mitchell, who specialise in dealing with cases of such nature, would like to hear from you.
