Hotel Roc Arenas Dorados, Cuba
We are concerned to learn of recent reports of guests falling ill with gastric symptoms during holidays taken at the Hotel Roc Arenas Doradas in Cuba in January and February 2016.
Despite positive reviews, we've learnt of reports regarding holidaymakers who fell ill during a stay at the hotel. Holidaymakers claim that the “steam tables were not kept hot, and anything that should be kept cold is just left out at room temperature and that on occasions some of the food was recycled between service”. Another holidaymaker claims that on one occasion she “watched a man use tongs to remove raw chicken from the fridge and then use those same tongs to cook the chicken that was already on the grill”. Other holidaymakers report falling ill with gastric symptoms including diarrhoea.
Gastric symptoms can range from mild diarrhoea to abdominal cramps and blood in stools. Having significant experience in assisting those unfortunate enough to contract these types of illnesses, we’re aware of the potential effects they can have, with long-term and even permanent complications such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS).
If you also travelled to the Hotel Roc Arenas Doradas in Cuba and have subsequently suffered from symptoms of illness, Irwin Mitchell would like to hear from you as you may be able to claim compensation for your ruined holiday, and also the pain and suffering caused by the illness that you have suffered.
For more advice on making a holiday illness claim, contact Irwin Mitchell on 0800 056 0066 or complete our enquiry form and we will call you back.

"We were very happy with the outcome of our case, especially as we were initially offered nothing from the Tour Operator. Irwin Mitchell were very professional throughout and we are very happy with the outcome."
