Ocean Vista Azul, 2017

The International Personal Injury Team at Irwin Mitchell is concerned to learn of recent reports of guests falling ill with gastric symptoms during holidays taken at the Ocean Vista Azul in Cuba between March and May 2017.

Despite positive reviews, Irwin Mitchell has learnt of reports regarding holidaymakers who fell ill during a stay at the hotel. One claims that some of the food such as the chicken “was raw in the middle, and that hot dogs and hamburgers were cold”. Other holidaymakers have reported falling ill with gastric symptoms – including over 20 in a wedding party – and one has tested positive for Salmonella.

Gastric symptoms can range from mild diarrhoea to abdominal cramps and blood in the stool. Having significant experience in assisting those unfortunate enough to contract gastric illness Irwin Mitchell know first-hand the potential long term effects that can be associated with such an ailment, with sometimes permanent long term complications arising such as Post infective Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS).

If you also travelled to the Ocean Vista Azul in Cuba and have subsequently suffered from symptoms of illness, Irwin Mitchell - who specialise in dealing with cases of such nature - would like to hear from you.

"We were very happy with the outcome of our case, especially as we were initially offered nothing from the Tour Operator. Irwin Mitchell were very professional throughout and we are very happy with the outcome."
