Pestana Cayo Coco Beach Resort, 2016

We're concerned to learn about guests falling ill with gastric symptoms during recent holidays at the Pestana Cayo Coco All Inclusive Beach Resort in Cuba between March and August 2016.

Despite positive reviews, we've also learnt of reports regarding some holidaymakers who fell ill during their stay at the hotel. One claims that their children were served burgers that were "totally undercooked, raw"; another notes that there were sometimes  "flies on the food". Other holidaymakers also report that people were served undercooked chicken, and a number of guests report falling ill with gastric symptoms.

Gastric symptoms can range from mild diarrhoea to abdominal cramps and blood in stools. Having significant experience in assisting those unfortunate enough to contract gastric illness we know the long term complications it can lead to, such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).

If you also travelled to the Pestana Cayo Coco All Inclusive Beach Resort in Cuba and subsequently suffered from symptoms of illness, we'd like to hear from you. We specialise in dealing with cases of this nature and our lawyers could help you make a claim for compensation.

For more advice on making a holiday illness claim, contact us on 0800 056 0066 or complete our enquiry form and we will call you back.

"We were very happy with the outcome of our case, especially as we were initially offered nothing from the Tour Operator. Irwin Mitchell were very professional throughout and we are very happy with the outcome."
