We’re concerned to learn about recent reports of guests falling ill with gastric symptoms while on holiday at the Pullman Cayo Coco in Cuba between February 2016 and March 2016.
One holidaymaker who stayed at the resort in March 2016 reports how their husband became so ill that the journey home was quite difficult.
Another guest says they became ill during their stay with their family at the resort in March 2016 and describes spending three days “running to the washroom to throw up”. He also reports that his wife fell ill.
Despite a number of positive reviews of the hotel online, this tourist reports that on one occasion he saw the chef placed raw chicken next to his own nearly-cooked beef, and proceeded to spread the raw chicken out with the spatula, then remove the cooked beef with the same spatula. He also describes how he ordered the grilled fish one time, and that the chef dropped the fish on the floor as he went to put it on the grill – he then picked it up from the floor using the cooking tongs.
Another holidaymaker who stayed at the resort in February 2016 reports how her husband became violently ill during their stay. They also stated that he was one of several people who was unwell while they were staying there.
Gastric symptoms can range from mild diarrhoea to abdominal cramps and blood in stools. We have significant experience helping those unlucky enough to contract gastric illness while on holiday.
