Illness at Sol Cayo Guillermo Hotel, Cuba
It has been reported that holiday makers have become ill with symptoms of gastric illness after staying at the Sol Cayo Guillermo Hotel, Cuba in January 2011.
Guests have reportedly become ill with symptoms of gastric illness possibly due to poor standards of hygiene at the hotel. Guests claim that meat was pink and bloody when served and many of the buffet dishes were undercooked. Guests allege that there were many insects on and around the food. The hygiene standards were allegedly poor and guests noticed that the same tongs were used to handle raw and cooked meat.
Recent reports state how chicken was served being raw in the centre and that the dishes were only warm at best.
