Sol Rio De Luna Y Mares Hotel, Cuba 2016
We’re concerned to find out about recent reports of holidaymakers falling ill with gastric symptoms while on holiday at the Sol Rio de Luna y Mares in Cuba in February and March 2016.
Despite some positive reviews of the hotel online, we’ve seen that some guests fell ill during their stay there. One tourist who stayed at the hotel in March 2016 with her family reported how their daughter suffered from sickness and bad stomach pains.
Another holidaymaker who stayed at the hotel in February 2016 reports being hospitalised for eight days.
Gastric symptoms can range from mild diarrhoea to abdominal cramps and blood in stools. We have significant experience helping those unlucky enough to contract gastric illness while on holiday. We’re very aware of the complications that can develop because of such illness, such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). The effects can sometimes develop into a problem that is long-term, or even permanent.
If you also travelled to the Sol Rio de Luna y Mares in Cuba and have subsequently been ill, we’d like to hear from you. We specialise in dealing with cases like this and can advise you on claiming compensation for your trip.

"We were very happy with the outcome of our case, especially as we were initially offered nothing from the Tour Operator. Irwin Mitchell were very professional throughout and we are very happy with the outcome."
