Children struck down with illness in Summer 2012 at the Pafian Park Hotel, Cyprus

Specialist travel litigation lawyers at Irwin Mitchell have been instructed by a family whose two young children were struck down with gastric illness whilst on holiday in Cyprus at the Pafian Park hotel in August 2012.

Irwin Mitchell are concerned to learn that the hotel was unclean, the family recall how the pool filters were being replaced and removed for over a week. The communal toilets were filthy and not cleaned regularly and when they were cleaned, the same dirty water was used to clean others parts of the hotel, even the restaurant area.

The parents of the two young children described how they both suffered from gastric symptoms of vomiting and diarrhoea which became so severe that they were taken to hospital by ambulance. Whilst in hospital they were put on IV drips. Back home, the children have not yet fully recovered and are still suffering from lingering symptoms.

If you also travelled to this resort and have subsequently suffered from symptoms of gastric illness or sustained an injury, Irwin Mitchell, who specialise in dealing with such cases, would like to hear from you.

"We were very happy with the outcome of our case, especially as we were initially offered nothing from the Tour Operator. Irwin Mitchell were very professional throughout and we are very happy with the outcome."
