Illness at Bambu Hotel, Dominican Republic

Vast numbers of holidaymakers are reported to have become ill with symptoms of gastric illness after travelling to the Bambu Hotel in the Dominican Republic.

The guests who stayed at the hotel during June 2008 have allegedly experienced symptoms of gastric illness which they believe to be due to food consumed at the hotel after they have suffered from symptoms of suspected food poisoning.

Complaints are thought to include that insects including flies and spiders were seen in and around the food area of the hotel and that the hotel was maintained to an unacceptable standard.

Irwin Mitchell have received enquiries from guests who became ill following their stay at this hotel and would like to hear from anyone who has suffered from similar symptoms.
