WHAT THE EXPERTS SAY

"The team has so many contacts with foreign insurers and so many people with foreign languages that it is miles ahead of others."

Barcelo Bavaro Palace, 2017

Our International Personal Injury team is concerned to see recent reports of illness among guests at the Barcelo Bavaro Palace in the Dominican Republic during holidays taken in February and March 2017.

Despite some positive reviews of the hotel, we've also learnt that some holidaymakers fell ill during their stay there. One guest claims that “none of the food preparation or serving employees wore gloves”, whilst another clams that there were times when the “roasted chicken…was pink”. Other holidaymakers report falling ill with gastric symptoms.

Gastric symptoms can range from mild diarrhoea to abdominal cramps and blood in stools. We have significant experience helping those who've contracted gastric illness on holiday, and we know the potential long term effects it can lead to, including permanent conditions such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS).

If you also travelled to the Barcelo Bavaro Palace in the Dominican Republic and have subsequently suffered from symptoms of illness, we'd like to hear from you. We specialise in dealing with these cases, and we could help you claim compensation.

For more advice on making a holiday illness claim, contact us on 0800 056 0066 or complete our enquiry form and we will call you back.

"We were very happy with the outcome of our case, especially as we were initially offered nothing from the Tour Operator. Irwin Mitchell were very professional throughout and we are very happy with the outcome."
