Catalonia Bavaro Beach Golf & Casino Resort
Irwin Mitchell is concerned to learn that a family became ill while staying at the Catalonia Bavaro Beach Golf and Casino Resort in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, during November 2015.
The family of five were staying at the resort on an all-inclusive basis and reported that their one year old son suffering symptoms including diarrhoea and stomach cramps. When they return to the UK, they took the child to their GP and a stool sample tested positive for Salmonella. Other members of the group also experienced similar symptoms.
The party had travelled to the Dominican Republic to celebrate a 30th wedding anniversary but this celebration was unfortunately spoilt by illness. They suggested that some of the food at the hotel was left uncovered for long periods of time and was sometimes served at the wrong temperature.
Other guests have highlighted problems with the food at the resort, describing the food as “disappointing” and “boring” and also highlighting that the breakfast was undercooked.
If you have also travelled to the Catalonia Bavaro Beach Golf and Casino Resort in Punta Cana, and subsequently experienced symptoms of illness, we would like to hear from you.
