WHAT THE EXPERTS SAY

"The team at Irwin Mitchell has a ‘pre-eminent reputation’ for travel personal injury work"

Legal 500 (2016)

ClubHotel Riu Bambu, 2017

The International Personal Injury Team at Irwin Mitchell are concerned by recent reports of guests falling ill with gastric symptoms during holidays taken at the ClubHotel Riu Bambu in the Dominican Republic between April and August 2017.

Despite positive reviews, Irwin Mitchell have seen reports by holidaymakers who fell ill during a stay at the hotel. One holidaymaker claims that some of the food was “undercooked and pink” while another claims that “buffet food is sitting out for 3 or 4 hours at a time with little or no refrigeration”. Other holidaymakers report falling ill with gastric symptoms.

Gastric symptoms can range from mild diarrhoea to abdominal cramps and blood in stools. Having significant experience in assisting those unfortunate enough to contract gastric illness we know the long term effects that it can potentially cause, such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS).

If you also travelled to the ClubHotel Riu Bambu in the Dominican Republic and have subsequently suffered from symptoms of illness, Irwin Mitchell, who specialise in dealing with cases of such nature, would like to hear from you.
