Dreams Resort, Punta Cana, Dominican Republic - 2013

Irwin Mitchell is concerned for holidaymakers who have recently returned from the Dreams Resort, Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic, suffering from gastric symptoms.

Despite some positive reviews, holidaymakers have reported that there has been an outbreak of illness in the resort and according to one report, over 47 people have suffered from illness. It has also been suggested that a wedding has been delayed because the groom was violently ill.

Reports indicate that it may have been the eggs, amongst other items, that caused the illness. One holidaymaker has recalled that he was tested by a doctor at the resort for stomach parasites which were possibly caused by eating contaminated food.

It is concerning to note that one holidaymaker reports that a piece of metal was found in his pasta. Another holidaymaker who became ill describes spotting faeces in the swimming pool and being told by hotel staff that it was a rock.

Irwin Mitchell has previously acted for clients who stayed at this hotel in 2008 and were successful in obtaining compensation for a group of clients.

If you have travelled to the Dreams Resort in Punta Cana, in the Dominican Republic and subsequently suffered from symptoms of illness or sustained an injury, Irwin Mitchell, who specialise in dealing with cases of such nature, would like to hear from you.
