Grand Bahia Principe La Romana, 2016
We are concerned to hear of guests falling ill with gastric symptoms while on holiday at the Grand Bahia Principe La Romana hotel in the Dominican Republic. Reports relate to holidays taken in July and August 2016.
Despite positive reviews of the hotel online, our International Personal Injury team is also aware that some holidaymakers have suffered illness following their stay at the hotel. A party of 20 reports that they all suffered gastric symptoms during their stay - including abdominal pain, diarrhoea and vomiting.
Reports suggest that some holidaymakers witnessed flies landing on the food. One guest labelled the food as ‘awful’. There were concerns too about one of the swimming pools - which one tourist described as ‘dirty’. Two holidaymakers reported that they checked out early as a result of the poor conditions at the hotel.
Gastric symptoms can range from mild diarrhoea to abdominal cramps and blood in stools. Having significant experience in assisting those unfortunate enough to contract gastric illness, we know first-hand the potential long term conditions that can be associated with it, such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).
If you also travelled to the Grand Bahia Principe La Romana hotel in the Dominican Republic and subsequently suffered symptoms of illness, we’d like to hear from you. We specialise in dealing with cases of this nature and could help you claim compensation.
