WHAT THE EXPERTS SAY

"The team has so many contacts with foreign insurers and so many people with foreign languages that it is miles ahead of others."

Grand Bahia Principe Turquesa, 2017

We're concerned by reports of guests falling ill with gastric symptoms during holidays at the Grand Bahia Principe Turquesa in the Dominican Republic between May and June 2017.

The hotel has also enjoyed some positive reviews online, but our International Personal Injury team has learnt that a number of holidaymakers fell ill during their stay there. One claimed that they were served “raw chicken”, another was disappointed to find the food was “lukewarm”. Other holidaymakers report falling ill with gastric symptoms.

Gastric symptoms can range from mild diarrhoea to abdominal cramps and blood in stools. Having significant experience in assisting those unfortunate enough to contract gastric illness we know the potential long term effects that can be associated with such illness, including permanent complications such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS).

If you also travelled to the Grand Bahia Principe Turquesa in the Dominican Republic and have subsequently suffered from symptoms of illness, Irwin Mitchell, who specialise in dealing with cases of such nature, would like to hear from you.

For more advice on making a holiday illness claim, contact us on 0800 056 0066 or complete our enquiry form and we will be happy to call you back.

"We were very happy with the outcome of our case, especially as we were initially offered nothing from the Tour Operator. Irwin Mitchell were very professional throughout and we are very happy with the outcome."
