Hotel Majestic Colonial Punta Cana, 2016
The International Personal Injury Team at Irwin Mitchell are concerned to hear recent reports of guests falling ill with gastric symptoms during holidays taken at the Hotel Majestic Colonial Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic between April and August 2016.
Despite positive reviews, Irwin Mitchell have learnt of reports regarding holidaymakers who fell ill during a stay at the hotel. One holidaymaker claims that their boyfriend became ill due to the tap water. Some holidaymakers report that certain seafood dishes, such as lobster, were undercooked. Others report falling ill with gastric symptoms, with one reporting that salmonella was confirmed when they returned home.
Gastric symptoms can range from mild diarrhoea to abdominal cramps and blood in stools. Having significant experience in assisting those unfortunate enough to contract gastric illness Irwin Mitchell know first-hand the potential long term effects that can be associated with such illness, with sometimes permanent long term complications arising such as Post infective Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS).
If you have also travelled to the Hotel Majestic Colonial Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic and have subsequently suffered from symptoms of illness, Irwin Mitchell, who specialise in dealing with cases of such nature, would like to hear from you.
