Hotel Riu Palace Macao, 2016

We're concerned to learn of recent reports of guests falling ill while on holiday at the Hotel Riu Palace Macao in the Dominican Republic between April and August 2016.

Though the hotel has also had positive reviews online, it's come to our attention that there were also some holidaymakers who fell ill during their stay there. One tourist claims that the food was on occasions "pretty much left uncovered, with flies landing on it". Others report falling ill with gastric symptoms.

Gastric symptoms can range from mild diarrhoea to abdominal cramps and blood in stools. Having significant experience in assisting those unfortunate enough to contract gastric illness, we know the potential long term effects that can be associated with such illness, with sometimes permanent long term complications arising such as Post infective Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS).

If you also travelled to the Hotel Riu Palace Macao in the Dominican Republic and have subsequently suffered from symptoms of illness, we'd like to hear from you. Irwin Mitchell specialises in with cases of this nature and we could help you claim compensation.

For more advice on making a holiday illness claim, contact us on 0800 056 0066 or complete our enquiry form and we will call you back.
