Our International Personal Injury team is concerned to see recent reports of illness among guests at the Iberostar Dominicana Hotel in the Dominican Republic in January 2017.

Despite some positive reviews of the hotel, we've also learnt that some holidaymakers fell ill during their stay there. One guest claims that there was “no temperature control on some foods” and at times there was some “raw/undercooked meat”. Other holidaymakers report falling ill with gastric symptoms. 

Gastric symptoms can range from mild diarrhoea to abdominal cramps and blood in stools. We have significant experience helping those who've contracted gastric illness on holiday, and we know the potential long term effects it can lead to, including permanent conditions such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS).
