WHAT THE EXPERTS SAY
"The team has so many contacts with foreign insurers and so many people with foreign languages that it is miles ahead of others."

Iberostar Punta Cana, Bavaro, 2016
We’re concerned to hear reports of holidaymakers becoming ill while staying at the Iberostar Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic in January and February 2016.
While some tourists have described the hotel as an excellent place to stay, others complain of gastric symptoms including diarrhoea, abdominal pain and vomiting. One holidaymaker described how they were hospitalised for two days due the severity of their symptoms.
Some guests have raised concerns about the quality of some of the food served at the hotel. One reported that some of the hot food was served lukewarm and that some of the chilled food was sometimes served warm. Another holidaymaker reported how the public toilets were often clogged and out of hand soap.
Gastric symptoms can range from mild diarrhoea to abdominal cramps and blood in stools. We have significant experience helping those unlucky enough to contract gastric illness while on holiday. We’re very aware of the complications that can develop because of such illness, such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). The effects can sometimes develop into a problem that is long-term, or even permanent.
If you also travelled to the Iberostar Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic and have subsequently been ill, we’d like to hear from you. We specialise in dealing with cases like this and can advise you on claiming compensation for your trip.

"We were very happy with the outcome of our case, especially as we were initially offered nothing from the Tour Operator. Irwin Mitchell were very professional throughout and we are very happy with the outcome."
