We’ve heard reports of holidaymakers who have suffered from gastric illness while staying at from the Majestic Elegance Resort in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, and are concerned for tourists who have recently returned from there.
Alongside some positive reviews on consumer websites, there are also reports from guests who fell ill during their stay at the resort. There are accounts of food not being served at the correct temperature: one tourist reports that the food was “very bad”.
Gastric symptoms can range from mild diarrhoea to abdominal cramps and blood in stools. We have significant experience helping those unlucky enough to contract gastric illness while on holiday.
