Melia Caribe Tropical, 2015

The International Personal Injury team at Irwin Mitchell is concerned to learn that guests became ill with gastric symptoms after staying at the Melia Caribe Tropical in the Dominican Republic this year.

Despite some positive reviews, Irwin Mitchell has discovered reports relating to the food at the resort. Holidaymakers have expressed that the food was unappealing and that “the milk tasted spoilt”. Furthermore, guests have said that the food was sometimes covered in flies.

A visitor has also highlighted that their room was dirty with a dusty closet. Other holidaymakers described that the air smelt of sewage and have reported falling ill after eating at the hotel, suffering with gastric symptoms.

If you have also travelled to the Melia Caribe Tropical in the Dominican Republic and subsequently suffered from symptoms of illness, we would like to hear from you.
