Memories Splash Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, October 2016

Irwin Mitchell are concerned to hear that holidaymakers are falling ill with gastric symptoms at the Memories Splash Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic in recent months.

Despite positive reviews of the hotel online, Irwin Mitchell's International Personal Injury team is also aware that some holidaymakers have suffered illness following their stay at the hotel. Holidaymakers have reported that they all suffered gastric symptoms including abdominal pain, diarrhoea and vomiting during their stay. A family of 5 reported that their holiday was ruined after 2 of them developed gastric symptoms.

Holidaymakers complained that the food was occasionally exposed to flies and sometimes served lukewarm. One holidaymaker reported that they did not have sufficient hot water to shower in throughout their stay at the hotel.

Gastric symptoms can range from mild diarrhoea to abdominal cramps and blood in stools. Having significant experience in assisting those unfortunate enough to contract gastric illness, Irwin Mitchell know first-hand the potential long term conditions that can be associated with it, such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).

If you also travelled to the Memories Splash Punta Cana hotel in the Dominican Republic and subsequently suffered symptoms of illness, Irwin Mitchell would like to hear from you. Irwin Mitchell specialise in dealing with cases of this nature and could help you claim compensation.

"We were very happy with the outcome of our case, especially as we were initially offered nothing from the Tour Operator. Irwin Mitchell were very professional throughout and we are very happy with the outcome."
