Occidental Grand Flamenco Punta Cana Hotel
Irwin Mitchell is growing increasingly concerned for holidaymakers who have recently travelled, or are due to travel to the Occidental Grand Flamenco Punta Cana Hotel, in the Dominican Republic, as we have recently received further reports of illness amongst holidaymakers. We were previously approached by holidaymakers in the early months of 2010, however, we have now received reports relating to September and October 2010, suggesting that standards have not improved.
Reports suggest that a number of holidaymakers became ill as a result of poor standards of hygiene and maintenance at the hotel. In particular, it has been alleged that the bathrooms were dirty, the pillows were stained and that the buffet food was of a poor standard. A holidaymaker who has recently stayed at the hotel has returned to the UK suffering from illness, subsequently, they have had to attend their local hospital for abdominal investigations. Irwin Mitchell is also acting for holidaymakers who became ill at this hotel in 2007.
